POOL RULES

These rules are designed to insure the safety and the enjoyment of residents and the preservation of pool facilities.  Cooperation and assistance are expected from all users.

POOL RULES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED!  UPON REQUEST, YOU MAY BE REQUIRED TO SHOW POOL KEY  (GRAY PLASTIC FOB) AT ANY TIME!

1.     The BGP Homeowner’s Association is NOT responsible for accidents to members or their guests.  We are not responsible for lost articles.

2.     The pool monitor is fully authorized to maintain acceptable pool behavior and safety and is authorized to remove persons who disregard rules.

3.     Residents must accompany and be responsible for guests.  There is a limit of 4 guests per household.

4.     Parents will be held fully responsible for their children’s actions.  Individuals will be held responsible for all damage and/or breakage.

5.     Children under 14 years of age will not be permitted in the pool area unless accompanied by a responsible adult.  Children may be required to prove their swimming ability and are not permitted in the deep water unless they have demonstrated such ability.

6.     The pool monitor is not a baby-sitter!  DO NOT leave your child at the pool alone and expect the pool monitor to watch your child. 

7.     Running, pushing and boisterous conduct in the pool area is PROHIBITED.

8.     Only one person is permitted on the diving board at any one time.

9.     Swimming accessories – rafts, balls and boogie boards are PROHIBITED.

10.  Proper swimming attire (bathing suits) is required.

11.  Infants in diapers must wear tight-fitting rubber pants.

12.  Glass containers, food, drinks and gum are not allowed in pool area. Eating and drinking are allowed on upper patio only.

13.  Please use the trash containers.

14.  Pets, bicycles, skateboards and wheel toys are PROHIBITED in pool area.

15.  Pool hours are 6:00a.m. To 11:00p.m. 

16.  Pool gates must remain locked at ALL TIMES!  Homeowners must use security keys (gray plastic fob) to enter pool area.  Chairs, pots, etc. must NEVER be used to prop gate open.

17.  No swimming is allowed while pool is being serviced.  Currently the pool is serviced Monday, Wednesday and Friday early a.m.

18.  Smoking is PROHIBITED.

19.  Children under 5 are not allowed in Jacuzzi and parent or adult must supervise children under 14.  

20.  Pool parties and children’s birthday parties are PROHIBITED.

21.  Upon request, the pool monitor will allow 20 minutes, on the hour only, for adults who want to swim laps.

22.  Homeowners using the pool for swimming lessons must be in attendance for lessons and must arrange for lessons during weekdays only.  Absolutely no lessons allowed on Saturday or Sunday.

23.  Headphones must be used with radios, CD’s or tape players.

24.  NANNIES Please note:  If you send your nanny to supervise your child at the pool, PLEASE make sure your nanny DOES NOT ever leave your child unattended!  Please make sure your nanny knows how to swim since there is NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY.  Please make your nanny aware of all of these pool rules.
